The Hillside Estate is a French-inspired venue that boasts elegant architecture, a grand ballroom, and breathtaking light. Since I have started shooting weddings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex I have always wanted to photograph a wedding at the Hillside Estate. It is truly one of the premier wedding venues in the area that has so much to offer to a bride and groom looking to have an upscale classic wedding. I will forever be grateful to Julia & Hayden for having me as their photographer. They popped up in my life out of nowhere and were a blessing to be with all day.

One of the things that sets the Hillside Estate apart from other venues is its natural light that comes through the numerous windows located throughout the venue. This makes virtually any spot in the venue a perfect backdrop for photos. The soft light of the early afternoon and the warmth of the light at golden hour allowed me to create photos that I very proud of.

Quick Tip: Anytime of the year would be awesome to have a wedding here, but if you are planning to have your wedding at the Hillside Estate in the summer I would highly recommend a ceremony start time of 6pm. Having the ceremony at this time made for beautiful soft light to enter in from the West of the ceremony space that was very flattering to the bride and groom. This time was best for avoiding all the potential harsh light, and make it a much more enjoyable experience for all involved.
